How do I update or uninstall the Better xCloud script in Tampermonkey?

Better XCloud is an incredible extension : r/xcloud

Managing, updating, or removing the Better xCloud userscript is handled directly within the Tampermonkey extension dashboard in Microsoft Edge.

1.Open the Tampermonkey Dashboard:Required to view all installed userscripts.

  1. Click the Extensions puzzle piece icon in the top-right corner of Microsoft Edge.

  2. Click on Tampermonkey and select Dashboard from the pop-up menu.

  3. You will see a table listing all active scripts installed on your browser.

2.Option A: Update Better xCloud:For updates: Fetch the latest code directly from GitHub.

  • Automatic Updates: Tampermonkey checks for updates automatically every 24 hours by default.

  • Manual Update Trigger:

    1. On the Installed scripts tab in the dashboard, find Better xCloud.

    2. Click on the Check for updates button (or check the box next to Better xCloud and select Check for updates from the Bulk actions dropdown at the bottom).

    3. If an update is available, Tampermonkey will prompt you to click Update.

3.Option B: Uninstall or Disable Better xCloud:For uninstallation: Remove the script completely.

  • To Temporarily Disable (without deleting):

    • Toggle the On/Off switch next to Better xCloud in the Installed Scripts list to Off. Refresh [xbox.com/play](https://xbox.com/play) to return to the standard xCloud interface.

  • To Permanently Remove:

    1. Click the Trash Can icon on the far-right side of the Better xCloud row.

    2. Confirm the deletion when prompted by Tampermonkey.

Verifying Removal / Resetting settings

If you uninstall Better xCloud, any custom stream settings (such as forced server overrides or custom codecs) stored in local browser cache will immediately revert to Microsoft's default xCloud configuration upon refreshing [xbox.com/play](https://xbox.com/play).
