Transferring your Tampermonkey scripts and settings across different browsers (such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, or Opera) can be done using either an offline file export or cloud synchronization.

1.Export your backup file from the source browser (Chrome/Edge):Export all scripts and settings from your current browser.

  1. Open Chrome or Edge, click the Extensions (puzzle piece) icon, and open the Tampermonkey Dashboard.

  2. Click the Utilities tab at the top right of the dashboard.

  3. Under the Export section, ensure the format is set to ZIP (this preserves both script code and saved script settings/storage).

  4. Click Export to File and save the .zip file to your PC.

2.Install Tampermonkey on the target browser (Firefox/Brave/Opera):Prepare the destination browser for script execution.

  1. Open your target browser (e.g., Firefox).

  2. Visit the browser's extension store (e.g., Firefox Add-ons Store) and install Tampermonkey.

  3. Firefox Note: Click the Extensions icon, click the settings gear next to Tampermonkey, and ensure permissions are granted for all sites if prompted.

3.Import the backup file into the target browser:Restore all scripts into the new extension instance.

  1. Open the Tampermonkey Dashboard in the target browser.

  2. Click the Utilities tab.

  3. Under the Import section, click Choose File.

  4. Select the .zip backup file you exported in Step 1.

  5. Review the imported script list and click Import to confirm.

Alternative: Enable Automatic Cloud Sync

If you regularly use multiple browsers across different operating systems, you can keep Tampermonkey continuously synchronized across all of them without manually exporting files:

  1. Open the Tampermonkey Dashboard in any browser and go to the Settings tab.

  2. Under Config mode, select Advanced.

  3. Scroll down to Cloud Storage and set Enable Cloud Sync to Enabled.

  4. Choose a provider (Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive) and click Show options to log in and authorize sync.

  5. Repeat this setup on your other browsers using the same cloud account. Any script added or modified on one browser will automatically sync to all others.
